Busta Rhymes was arrested in Brooklyn last week, and charged with assault in the third degree. The 52-year-old rapper was detained after police responded to a 911 call where a 50-year-old male victim claimed he was being harrassed, which included multiple punches from the assailant. According to police reports, the victim had severe swelling on the left side of his face and was transported to the hospital, where he is in stable condition. The New York Post is reporting that Rhymes’ victim was apparently his assistant, and the rapper was allegedly berating him for using his cell phone while working. The unnamed victim supposedly declined to provide details of the incident during a discussion with the Post, apparently telling the outlet, “An article in the paper as opposed to a six or seven-million-dollar settlement?
