Once passed, the law will mandate anti-terror training for staff at venues with a capacity over 200, along with increased security measures like bag checks, body searches, and CCTV cameras. “Martyn’s legacy will forever be one of hope and love,” Murray told The Mirror. “This victory will be for him and all the millions of young people, like him, who attend venues to enjoy themselves” The attack, which killed 22 and injured over 1,000, occurred when a terrorist detonated a homemade bomb as fans were leaving the concert venue following Grande’s performance.
