Jennifer Lawrence says that her breakup from actor Nicholas Hoult left her feeling a little lost, especially because the split came at the same time she was finishing up years of working on “The Hunger Games” movie series.
“These movies have been my life for so long and they had to come first in everything,” The Oscar-winner told ABC’s Diane Sawyer on “Good Morning America” Thursday.
“I was also in a relationship with somebody for five years and we broke up around the same time that I wrapped those movies,” she explained. “Being 24 was this whole year of, ‘Who am I without these movies? Who am I without this man?’ It was always ‘we’. It sounds so young to say that but it’s true.”
Lawrence also opened up about the nude photo hack that came soon after, when dozens of celebrities’ personal photos were hacked from Apple’s iCloud and posted online.
“It was all pain and no gain,” she told Vogue magazine’s December issue after being asked about her dog Pippi and when she got her.
The Oscar-winner says that her mother was visiting when the news broke, and the new puppy she brought took a liking to her.
“I was outside crying, and Pippi jumped up on my lap and started licking up all my tears, and I couldn’t put her down for hours. And I mean, hours. I was like, ‘Well, obviously, you’re mine,’” she explains.
“But I don’t dwell on it unless someone brings it up,” she says of the scandal. “Have you seen me naked?”
